The Macon County Humane Society,Inc ( dba ) Appalachian Animal Rescue Center is a no-kill shelter and humane society located in the town of Franklin, North Carolina. We are a 501(c)(3) organization that is operated solely on funds received from donations, grants and our thrift store. In addition to running a rescue shelter, we also provide services to the low income pet owners in our community to help with the costs of spay/neuter, vaccinating and microchipping.
