Last Friday evening, our Rock Hill Foster Care Program hosted a luau to celebrate and honor our incredible foster families! After enjoying dinner and a time of fellowship, we recognized foster parents for their unwavering dedication and the unique strengths they bring to their role. The evening began under cloudy skies and even brought a heavy rain during the event—but as it came to a close, the clouds parted and one of the most beautiful sunsets appeared. It was a powerful reminder of the journey of fostering. When children enter care, they often carry emotional clouds—confusion, fear, and uncertainty—and foster parents face their own questions and challenges when saying yes. But just like the rain that passes, the difficult moments in fostering aren’t forever. Growth, healing, and joy begin to shine through—even if the outcome looks different than expected. We are so grateful for our foster families and the hope they bring. Thank you for opening your hearts and homes.
