Nourishing Independence. Meals on Wheels, LB provides in-home nourishment to the ill, disabled and elderly home bound residents in Long Beach and Signal Hill. Meals on Wheels of Long Beach, Inc. provides 2 home-delivered meals, weekdays, to home-bound residents in the cities of Long Beach, Leisure World, and Signal Hill and Lakewood. The mission of Meals on Wheels of Long Beach (MOWLB) is to nourish, comfort and protect members of the community who are homebound due to age and/or medical or psychological problems.The organization's vision is, “Meals on Wheels of Long Beach will deliver nourishing meals to homebound clients five days a week using a volunteer work force of drivers and friendly visitors." MOWLB's goals are to provide the highest quality prepared meals with a friendly visit, and to continually grow the program delivery to ensure that we meet the needs of the vulnerable and isolated individuals in our community who need our services.
