And because wealth begets wealth this has resulted in a significant and growing disparity known as the racial wealth gap In 2022 the median wealth of Black families was 44890 compared to 285000 for white families. The Brookings Institution Take Action. INSPIREquity invites white people who have benefited from these discriminatory systems to take restorative action by pledging at least 1 of their personal net worth over the next three years to close the racial wealth gap.
