James Baldwin The Foundation primarily supports health care and education although it also focuses on social services animal welfare arts culture and the environment. What all grantees have in common is extreme effectiveness and pronounced impact on the communities that they serve. Established in 1959 the Harold McAlister Charitable Foundation supports organizations that are vital to the community of Los Angeles and whose work extends beyond the citys limits impacting unlimited lives of today and future generations.
