ATA Artist Spotlight: Louise Halsey @weavinglou "Black, Blue, and Bleeding", 2020 Named an Arkansas Living Treasure in 2017 by the Arkansas Arts Council, Louise Halsey says she appreciates the external rewards, but it is her curiosity and ideas are the motivation for her work. She says of her three dimensional figures, "The three dimensional figure allows me a playful outlet for expressing my views. I make tapestry woven pieces to place on a wooden armature each creation with its own personality and presence.
