The mission of the Friends of the Carson City Library is to support and promote the purposes and activities of the library and its community. The mission of the Friends of the Carson City Library is to support & promote the Carson City Library We raise money to support the local library. We raise money through our used bookstore that sells books, magazines, and audio/video media (CDs, DVDs, and books on tape or CD). All sold items are donated to us by the public. We give the library up to 95% of our net profit. The net profit is calculated at year end and the funds are available to the library the following year.

Friends of the Carson City Library Supporting the library and community through Browsers Corner Book Store Bookstore News Volunteer Membership Who We Are The Carson City Library opened its doors in June 1966 thanks in part to the time and talent of the founding Friends of the Carson City Library. Since that time the Friends of the Carson City Library a 501c3 nonprofit has donated its substantial support to many library projects and muchneeded acquisitions. Becoming a member of Friends gives you the opportunity to make a direct contribution to maintaining and expanding our city library. As a valuable community asset it provides education enjoyment and enlightenment for current and future Carson City generations.
