The Southern Opera Theatre Company
We are losing opera! Become an opera hero today, SOTC, we have a plan! The Southern Opera Theatre Company, founded in 2015, has as a primary objective the advancement of the operatic and musical theatre tradition. We seek to produce high quality works from the standard operatic and musical canon but also to encourage young artists, regional composers and librettists when possible and appropriate, and to promote outreach and audience education activities. We shall bring fully mounted and/or concert professional opera, concerts and musical theater to the public at reasonable ticket prices in the Southeastern part of the United States, focusing primarily in Western Georgia and Eastern Alabama.
