One of the world's largest aerospace museums. Explore the 80-acre campus, 6 hangars and 425 aircraft Established in 1976, the Pima Air & Space Museum is one of the largest Aerospace Museums in the world. The Museum maintains a collection of more than 425 aircraft from around the world in 6 display galleries on 136 acres of land, including many rare and one-of-a-kind, and more than 125,000 small artifacts. Here you will walk among the giants of our aviation heritage, including military, commercial, and civil aviation. Additionally we operate the Titan Missile Museum, a National Historic Landmark site.

A Martin Mars set the record for carrying the most passengers 76 years ago on this day, May 19, 1949. This U.S. Navy transport flight from San Francisco to San Diego included 301 passengers and 7 crewmen. They are shown here celebrating the achievement. Today, Guinness World Records lists the most passengers as 1,088 in a 747.
