All May long, we’re spotlighting inspiring Native youth leaders making waves in environmental advocacy. 🌿Nizhoni Deschene (Navajo Nation & Turtle Mountain Chippewa) At just 17, Nizhoni is a UNITY 25 Under 25 honoree, entrepreneur, and activist with a 4.46 GPA. He’s headed to UC Berkeley this fall! Founder of @TheSkateSkateCycle, he’s all about Indigenous youth empowerment, fashion, and environmental justice. 🗣 “Being an environmental ambassador means bridging people and nature—uplifting Indigenous knowledge and protecting sacred lands.” 🌿 Vydell Willie (Navajo Nation) Vydell, 18, is a climate advocate blending tradition and science. From wildfire research to MMIP awareness, he’s committed to change.
