THE PELICAN CENTER PROVIDES TRAINING AND EDUCATION TO JUDGES, COURT STAFF AND ADMINISTRATORS, LAWYERS FOR CHILDREN, INDIGENT PARENTS, CHILD WELFARE AGENCY ATTORNEYS AND DISTRICT ATTORNEYS, CHILD WELFARE AGENCY STAFF, AND COURT ADVOCATES TO ACCOMPLISH THE CENTER'S VISION OF A STATE OF LOUISIANA IN WHICH EVERY CHILD HAS A SAFE, PERMANENT HOME. THIS VISION SUPPORTS THE CENTER'S MISSION TO ESTABLISH AND SUSTAIN A STATEWIDE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATIVE TO STRENGTHEN THE CHILD WELFARE CONTINUUM FROM PREVENTION TO PERMANENCY. THE PELICAN CENTER ENVISIONS A FUTURE FOR THE STATE OF LOUISIANA IN WHICH EVERY CHILD HAS A SAFE, PERMANENT HOME.THE PELICAN CENTER WILL BE A STATEWIDE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATIVE STRENGTHENING THE CHILD WELFARE CONTINUUM FROM PREVENTION TO PERMANENCY.
