📢 BIG #HIVIsNotACrime news! Maryland has officially signed a bill to overturn a discriminatory 1989 law that required criminal penalties for people living with HIV. The bill was signed by Governor Wes Moore (D) on May 20, 2025. First introduced in 2013, the bill is now finally written into law - thanks to ETAF partner FreeState Justice and the Maryland HIV decriminalization coalition. Congratulations to all involved! With progress like this, we're one stop closer to decriminalizing HIV across the United States and granting justice and equality for all Americans living with HIV. (fb)
