⚓️Ahoy from Ocean City Yacht Club! ⚓️
We set sail on a spectacular start to the season with our 1st Bay Race on Memorial Day. A true celebration of sailing and camaraderie. The day began with a classic skippers meeting, charting the course and season ahead. In the afternoon, the water was alive with a nice breeze for competition and the shared joy of being back on the Bay. From Junior Sailors on a 420, a Hobie Wave, and lots of adult sailors, even our Club Services Manager crewed for PC McGuckin after a busy weekend. That’s the magic of sailing: all ages, all sizes, all together on the water. We’re also thrilled to welcome two new Melges 15s to our fleet, delivered this weekend to the Hanscom and Berdow families. We can’t wait to see them flying across the course this summer! Here’s to fair winds, spirited races, and a season full of memories ahead.⚓️ (fb)

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸At the Ocean City Yacht Club, we are especially proud to recognize and thank all of our veterans. Members Mike Allen, Tony Olek, and Hank Schwartz were spotted at the service today in Ocean City. Thank you for your service and dedication. Your commitment to our nation is deeply appreciated, and we are honored to have you as part of our community. Today, as we enjoy the freedoms they helped protect, let us all take a moment to reflect with gratitude and reverence. We salute all who have served and especially those who never came home.🇺🇸 (fb)
