It’s Public Works Week! Today, we celebrated the men and women on our public works crews with lunch, games, and friendly skills competitions. From maintaining 387 miles of roads and managing 780 miles of water main, to powering homes and businesses and keeping our city clean, the work of our Public Works crews does not go unnoticed. Rain or shine, they’re out there making a difference, and we appreciate everything they do. To every member of #TeamConcord’s Public Works team: thank you for your service, your skill, your hard work and dedication. Heads up, #ConcordNC! The Weddington Road Bark Park will be closed June 2 – 28 for annual maintenance work and to allow our Buildings and Grounds team to re-grass the fields. While the dog park is closed, you can always take your dog for a walk on one of our greenways! From natural surface trails to picturesque greenways – we have something for everyone to enjoy. (fb)
