DIR facilitates the upliftment of underprivileged people and empower them to solve their own problems in self-sustaining ways. Up-lift of needy communities, Priorities areas are: (1) Minimizing preventable deaths and illnesses; (2)Improving educational levels, and (3) Increasing incomes. DIR's approach is strictly scientific, with measurement of quantifiable indicators before and after interventions.

Developing Indigenous Resources Home DIR needs your support A new initiative Project Alambana was started in 2022 to educate the children of ragpickers. These children have never gone to any schools and face immense food scarcity. DIR is providing education clothes and two nutritious meals to these children every day in addition to grocery supplies to the families. About Us DIR is a nonprofit organization that has been working since 2004 to improve the health of more than 14000 slum dwellers in Janta Colony which isjust outside Chandigarh India.
