Nichiren Sect Mission of Hawaii
Mission Statement. This organization propagates the principles of Buddhism based on St. Nichiren's Lotus Sutra sermons about "Devotion to the Wonderful Truth of the Lotus Flower Teaching" and promotes and improves the happiness and general welfare of the community--both spiritually and physically--through educational, charitable and other missionary work including community outreach programs. About This Cause The organization is a Buddhist temple which seeks to promote the happiness and welfare of the community. It has facilities which are used by cultural programs which enrich the cultural lives of the surrounding community. Examples include indigo shibori workshops which invite children and adults to learn the Asian Pacific cultural arts of fabric dyeing, calligraphy, and yoga classes.
