GIRLS ON THE RUN OF THE BAY AREA
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run of the Bay Area is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization after school program designed to enhance 3rd-8th grade girls' social, emotional, and physical skills to successfully navigate life experiences. Our research-based lessons are delivered by trained, caring volunteers who are required to complete National Coach Training, background checks, and current TB testing. Using physical activity to teach life skills and demonstrating strategies, our organization makes a stronger impact than organized sports and physical education programs by teaching life skills. Our mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
