There are days where your E.I.(emotional intelligence)gets tested and stretched 😳 in those moments, what’s inside of you will spill out. This past weekend, while traveling to speak in Oregon for a women’s conference, I had to make a connecting flight in Phoenix. Well…my luggage decided it would stay in PHX and I landed in Oregon with only a couple hours til my first service but no luggage. Thankfully, I always carry-on my sermons and teachings. I wasn’t sure my luggage would make it at all, so I had a choice to make. I travel very casual and the clothes I travel in wouldn’t be professional for service but i may have to wear them lol. I could completely freak out and panic and worry, because…no clothes, no makeup, no haircare products…no toothbrush, nothing…OR…I could embrace the obstacle and make it an adventure and fully understand, God knew exactly what would happen. I remember a time in my life where that would have derailed my emotions and sent me spiraling, but not this time. This time, I decided to laugh it off and head to the nearest Target and see what I could pull together. Voila! A pair of dress pants and tank top lol the only thing in my size, and my flats that I wore on the plane. I’ll take that as a WIN. I picked up a flat iron and some make-up and hair products I had never used before 😂(don’t we love having to figure out new stuff at the last minute). I got to the hotel in time to get refreshed and prepare And wouldn’t you know it…God moved regardless of my frustration and inconvenience. I think the moral of this story is, if we can get detailed because of these little frustrations and inconveniences then do we really trust God? This wasn’t about me at all. The enemy wanted me distracted so I wouldn’t show up tuned in to Gods voice and in the right frame of mind, but he was wrong. We experienced a powerful move of God and saw salvations, freedom, restoration and Hope arise. We called the enemy into the courtroom and demanded “Replevin” and took back what the enemy had stolen. Whatever has you feeling a bit overwhelmed and chaotic, just lean in to these 2 scriptures, enter Gods throne room with gratitude and begin to praise God and embrace the journey. Psalm 100:4 (msg), “Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him.” Phil. 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” My luggage did get in that night close to midnight and everything worked out in the end just in time to minister the next morning and to fly out that day. Just a little 24 hour adventure in patience, gratitude, powerful time in God’s presence and personal growth and development 😂 And honestly, I think Pat was a bit surprised how well i did handle it 😂 Life is a great big Adventure with God, embrace every part of the journey.
