LAS is a non-profit organization working to protect the legal rights of seniors in Alameda County through education, counseling and advocacy. Legal Assistance for Seniors provides free legal advice and representation, health insurance counsel The mission of Legal Assistance for Seniors (LAS) is to ensure the independence and dignity of seniors by protecting their legal rights through education, counseling, and advocacy. LAS has provided significant services to seniors throughout Alameda County for over 48 years. We support older adults with free legal assistance and representation, provide healthcare counseling and advocacy, and support seniors through community education programming. While LAS’ office is based in Oakland, we serve clients across the County, and focus on better serving isolated and disadvantaged areas through outreach efforts and community activities. In fiscal year 2022-2023, LAS served over 12,500 older adults across Alameda County.
