Our mission is to support conservation efforts in rural Colorado communities in order to aid wildlife, restore habitat, & protect local ecosystems & ecosystem services. We believe that local land stewardship in rural communities plays a key role in the conservation of natural resources & wildlife. However, in order reduce further pressures on rural communities, support is needed to share the responsibility & accountability for environmental impacts and ecosystem protections. The exchange of land stewardship for community support can help reach conservation targets & benefit rural communities

The Juniper Initiative Conservation within the rural communities of Colorados WildlandUrban Interface WUI are essential for conservation goals. WUI communities serve as socialecological hotspots grappling with challenges like wildfireinduced home destruction habitat fragmentation and biodiversity loss. The ripple effects from each home can span hundreds of yards to miles magnifying the urgency of conservation measures.
