Providing books to the children of Greeneville and Greene County Email: gcimaginationlibrary@gmail.com Greene County Imagination Library exists to promote Early Childhood Literacy through the gift of Free Books to kids. Our main function is to register Greene County children from birth to age 5, to receive 1 Free Book a month, by mail until their 5th birthday . This program was begun by Dolly Parton in her home county and has spread to all 50 states, as well as, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Each County in Tennessee has an Imagination Library. Greene County Imagination Library covers Greene County, TN. We currently provide books to 2,900 children - approximately 82% in the County, aged 0-5. This is a completely free program for families! In partnership with the Governor's Books From Birth Foundation, GCIL pays for the books through individual & corporate donations.
