Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council

Domestic violence accounts for nearly 40% of deaths in Houston. When a gun is present, the risk of homicide increases five times. That’s why HCDVCC’s Policy Committee helped create Houston’s first gun surrender program, in partnership with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and the 280th District Court.
