Today is International Children's Day, and for the occasion, we’d like to introduce you to Ping — a 24-year-old Japanese Snow Monkey who can be just as chatty as kids can be! Although well beyond her juvenile years, Ping is known for her remarkable vocalizations. Caregivers frequently hear her distinctive range of grunts, growls, and hoots — and, when mealtime is even slightly delayed, her unmistakable (and very loud) “banshee scream” ensures no one forgets her presence. A devoted foodie, Ping eagerly approached the fence line during this photo session.
