Yellowstone Repertory Theatre
Yellowstone Repertory Theatre (YRT) is a U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting professional theatre in Billings, Montana, and its surrounding regions. The theatre was founded in 2017 by actor and director Craig Huisenga, along with co-founders Dina Brophy and Caitlin Hart, both seasoned actors in the local theatre scene.
Mission and Vision
YRT aims to create a committed ensemble of professional directors, actors, and technicians who strive to offer compelling, poignant, and thought-provoking plays. Their repertoire includes classics from renowned playwrights like Shakespeare, Arthur Miller, and Lillian Hellman, as well as contemporary works by award-winning playwrights such as Sarah Ruhl, John Patrick Shanley, and Sam Shepard.
History and Productions
YRT has been producing three plays each season since its inception, although Season 3 was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to their mainstage productions, YRT has performed readings at various local venues, including the Yellowstone Art Museum and This House of Books. They have also collaborated with The Moss Mansion on several projects.
