Association of Fundraising Professionals
AFP Maryland is a chapter of approximately 400 fundraising professionals. THE PURPOSES OF THE CHAPTER SHALL BE AS STATED IN THE BYLAWS OF AFP INTERNATIONAL NAMELY: THE ASSOCIATION OF FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONALS (AFP) IS AN ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONALS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD THAT ADVANCES PHILANTHROPY BY ENABLING PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS TO PRACTICE ETHICAL AND EFFECTIVE FUNDRAISING. THE CORE ACTIVITIES THROUGH WHICH AFP MARYLAND, A CHAPTER OF AFP INTERNATIONAL, FULFILLS THIS MISSION INCLUDE EDUCATION, TRAINING, MENTORING, ENCOURAGING GIVING AND VOLUNTEERING, AND PROMOTING ETHICS IN FUNDRAISING AND SOUND NON-PROFIT MANAGEMENT THROUGHOUT MARYLAND.
