California Challenge Foundation

Support ChalleNGe Programs with Resources to Develop Successful Citizens of Character The California ChalleNGe Foundation supports both Sunburst Youth Academy and the California Job ChalleNGe Academy. Both academies are run by the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe program and are located on the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, CA. Our goal is to support the ChalleNGe program’s mission to reclaim the lives of at-risk youth with education, values, and life skills which will result in program graduates that can succeed as productive citizens. The California ChalleNGe Foundation provides resources for outdoor education, unique experiences, job placement opportunities and funding to enrich the lives of the youth we serve.

Emerald Bay Catalina Chargers platoon from Sunburst Youth Academy assisted the Catalina Island Conservancy to remove invasive plant species from Camp Emerald Bay Bubble Run The California Challenge Foundation helped pave the way for CAJC Scholars to participate in the 5K Bubble Run at the OC Fairgrounds. CAJC Welding Scholars CAJC Welding Scholars were treated to a tour of Orange County Erectors.
