In 1988, Stacey was hired for a temporary position at Bonny Lea Farm. At the time, she never dreamed that it would be the start of a thirty-seven-year career or where she would meet her husband when he came to install a telephone in one of the homes. Over the last 37 years she has supported people living with disabilities in achieving their goals and dreams and also in times of difficulty and grief. She says she is reminded of "what true acceptance and resilience is" when she sees participants supporting each other through these same things. "When people come to Bonny Lea Farm they are greeted with warmth and interest and leave with a smile on their face." She says she feels fortunate to be a part of an organization that continually adapts to best meet the needs of the people they support, which is why she was proud to participate in the Blue Nose Marathon 5km and 10km races as part of Team Myles and chose Bonny Lea Farm as her charity of choice. Kudos to you Stacey for setting a personal goal and achieving it! Thank you for all that you do!!
