Horizons Horizons South Georgias Cancer Coalition Horizons South Georgias Cancer Coalition Fighting Cancer One Patient at a Time Horizons Every year more than 18000 people in Georgia die from cancer. A considerable percentage of those lives could have been saved with timely cancer screenings early detection and effective treatment but these lifesaving practices are often out of reach. For uninsured and underinsured Georgians the cost of screenings and treatment makes them unattainable. For Georgians in underserved parts of the state simply getting to a screening or testing site may be next to impossible.
