She embodies the values that we hold dear in our communities, nurturing her students’ well-being and fostering an environment that is both fun and welcoming.’ ⭐ ‘One of the most memorable aspects of Roberts’ teaching is the music she shares with us; from the remembrance beat that she plays on her drum in honor of others to translated children’s and popular songs, there is always an element of music in her class. Whenever we make mistakes, Roberts encourages us to try again, and she always praises our best efforts and reminds us that we are improving. There are so many other things she does, but it is worth noting that Roberts does all of this—and helps us to feel connected— in an online setting.’ ⭐ ‘In my experience, Professor Shu Guyna is patient, uplifting, and positive.
