Our Mission The Loving Hearts Animal Society is a nonprofit 501c3 nokill animal rescue organization focused on providing shelter and care for lost abused and abandoned cats and dogs in East and Southeast Texas. Our mission is to protect the health safety and wellbeing of homeless companion animals facilitate their adoption into loving homes and provide permanent sanctuary for those that are left behind. We believe that by providing dedicated rescue and adoption services raising community awareness and partnering with local authorities the Loving Hearts Animal Society can promote a better solution to the use of euthanasia to bring the homeless animal population under control.

Please heed this warning. This week a one week old kitten was found lying in the road with injuries consistent with having fallen from a moving vehicle and left to bake on the hot asphalt long enough to become severely burned and dehydrated. Luckily a passing motorist noticed the tiny orange tyke and came to his aid.
