Hi All, Here is the year-to-date vision screening report for CA1. FYI the "undistricted" category includes single districts. As you can see there are a significant number of areas not reporting. If you are having trouble reporting, please contact me so I can help. Remember reporting to the Lions KidSight database is not the same as reporting on the Lions Portal. BOTH MUST BE DONE. The KidSight database records OUTCOMES not just events. LCI and LCIF are committed to documenting the outcomes of our service efforts. HOME ABOUT US REAL NEED PARENT INFO NEWS START A SCREENING EVENT GET CERTIFIED STORE VIDEOS EVENT TOOLKIT DATABASE Dropdown More Lions International Lions KidSight USA Program Recognized as Champion for Vision by the Childrens Eye Foundation of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Oak Brook IL March 10 2025 Lions KidSight USA KidSight a program of Lions International was recognized with the Champion for Vision award at the annual American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus AAPOS meeting in Salt Lake City Utah last week. The KidSight program began in 2014 with the understanding that most kids are visual learners but many do not have their vision screened until they begin school. With some vision conditions the chances of successful treatment drop off dramatically after age six so oftentimes the threshold for successful treatment has passed. The aim of KidSight is to reach young kids before its too late arranging free screenings at schools and daycare centers.
