Kiwanis International Inc
The mission of the Kiwanis Club of Claremont has been, since its founding in 1924, to actively support programs that contribute to the growth and health of the Claremont community. Following Kiwanis International's defining statement, which is being a "global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time," the club raises funds to support grants in the areas of youth services, community services, international programs, and other programs. Youth Services funds programs for children and youth from preschoolers through college-age, including four-year scholarships to graduating seniors from Claremont's two high schools. Community Services funds local organizations (including, but not limited to, service-based nonprofits, schools, clubs, social and mental health institutions) that provide services intended to improve the quality of life for residents within Claremont. International Programs provides funds to international relief programs
