Christmas in Action of Spartanburg, Inc.
Christmas in April began in 1973 in Midland, TX, where some local community leaders and volunteers assisted a neighbor in need by rehabilitating her dilapidated home. The program spread, and Christmas in April became Christmas In Action with affiliates across the country to provide necessary repairs for low-income homeowners and communities. The work done on these homes is free for the homeowner, and done primarily by skilled and unskilled volunteers. Both volunteers and recipients benefit from improving their communities, one home at a time.
