Fostering Faith Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Clemmons, North Carolina. It was established with the goal of providing aid and support to children in the foster care system.

Founding and Inspiration

The foundation's inspiration began in 2018 when the Birdsong family learned about a local organization that supported children in foster care. This exposure led them to reflect on their role in improving the lives of these children. After meeting with Brent Moore from IamJ3 Community Outreach, the family felt called to make a difference. Their first initiative involved creating homemade blankets with inspirational verses for children in a group home during the holiday season.

Programs and Services

Fostering Faith Foundation focuses on fulfilling the Christmas wishes of children in foster care, while also providing essential resources and community outreach throughout the year. These resources include new clothing, toys, therapy aids, and comforting items. The organization supports not only foster children but also kinship families, group homes, and those who have aged out of the system.

• Holiday Wish Program: Starting in mid-October, the foundation, along with its community of volunteers (referred to as "community elves"), works to grant holiday wishes for children in need. This effort extends across North Carolina.
• Year-Round Support: Beyond the holiday season, Fostering Faith Foundation offers aid with necessities such as clothing and funds, scholarships, and support for those interested in fostering or adoption. They partner with local communities to provide these services effectively.

Goals and Vision

The foundation's ultimate vision is to serve every foster child and their caregivers with hope, healing, and unconditional love. They aim to achieve this by assisting one child at a time through their transition into care. By 2025, the organization hopes to grant more than 1,000 wishes each year, expanding their impact across the state of North Carolina.

Tiffany Birdsong is the founder and executive director of Fostering Faith Foundation. Nathaniel serves as the chairman of the board and provides backup support.
