We keep babies safe during crisis situations & emergencies. That’s what we are here for. When we don’t have babies in care, this is what you’re making possible. We know there are other resources. There are times though, that we are the best & only resource that is available (after 5, weekends, holidays, etc). Thank you for making each day possible for us to support these families. We made a diaper delivery to a single mom staying in a hotel with her toddler as she was about to leave for work. When getting to know her more, we learned that her son would be staying with her new boyfriend she had met just a few months ago (not his father). She is working so hard to get them into their own place & has had a hard time finding childcare to work with her hours. We were able to keep him for her for a few shifts & were able to help her find a licensed childcare facility that is safe. He loves it & we love seeing positive outcomes. We have permission to share her story in hopes that we can help save another tiny human. We don’t know if her child would be harmed by this new boyfriend, but statistics show it shouldn’t be an option. Because you equip us, this family is supported. This is just one of the hundreds you have helped this week alone. We continue to see an increase in the number of requests, but we don’t let that discourage us. We simply have to do more.
