Empowering Utah to achieve financial stability & housing security The Community Development Corporation of Utah (CDCU) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization created in 1991. CDCU assists aspiring homeowners along the path to homeownership, develops sustainable and affordable housing, revitalizes and stabilizes neighborhoods and communities, and promotes self-sufficiency through homeownership.Through CDCU, new homes are built, existing housing stock is rehabilitated, and neighborhoods are revitalized. We also provide a combination of services including homebuyer education, mortgage and foreclosure prevention counseling, down payment grants, low-interest mortgage packages, and deferred mortgages. To date, we have assisted over 3,000 families in 110 Utah communities.
