MDTC MEMBER COMPANIES PRODUCE BATTERIES AND MEDICAL DEVICES THAT ARE DESIGNED, MANUFACTURED, AND TESTED TO STANDARDS ABOVE AND BEYOND THOSE REQUIRED BY ANY TRANSPORTATION REGULATORY AGENCY. MDTC MEMBERS IMPLEMENT VOLUNTARY BEST PRACTICES TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS AND DECREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF INCIDENT OR PRODUCT FAILURE. MDTC CONSIDERS HOW THESE BEST PRACTICES COULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN LIEU OF RESTRICTIONS THAT IMPACT CRUCIAL SUPPLY CHAINS. MDTC CALLS FOR ENHANCED PACKAGING STANDARDS AND MODIFIED REQUIREMENTS TO INCENTIVIZE ADDITIONAL OVERSIGHT, QUALITY CONTROL AND/OR TESTING.
