FURTHER, WE AIM TO DEEPEN THE UNDERSTANDING OF BLACK ARTISTS' CONTRIBUTIONS TO AMERICAN ART BY CREATING AN HBCU DIGITAL ART COLLECTIONS DIRECTORY AND A HBCU DATABASE WITH SEARCHING CAPABILITIES TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR AMERICA'S YOUTH, FUTURE ARTISTS, HISTORIANS, AND CULTURAL LEADERS NATIONWIDE.
