Join the Eastern Sierra Bird Alliance for a special spring birding outing THIS SUNDAY at 7:30 AM in Birchim Canyon—one of the Eastern Sierra’s spring migration hotspots! We’ll be on the look out for migrating Warblers, Vireos, Flycatchers, and so much more. 🪶 📍 Directions: From Bishop, head north on US 395 (about 12 miles from the "Y" junction of US 395 and US 6, or 1.7 miles past Pine Creek Rd). Look for the group of trees on the east side of the highway. If you get to Gorge/ Lower Rock Creek Rd. you've gone too far! Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/xcA83dBMGNwYYRjR9 🅿️ Park safely on the northbound side—There is a large pullout. 🚶♂️ Access the canyon via the gate and walk the dirt road (about 1 mile)—no vehicle access and no access from the Gorge power plant side. Our latest education project is offering college scholarships CONSERVE Our Mission To Conserve and RestoreWe have collaborated with several other local groups to support wonderful opportunities and services related to Audubons mission to conserve and restore natural ecosystems focusing on birds other wildlife and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earths biological diversity.
