Gemma Open Door for Literacy

Follow Message Edit

Original books for adults & young adults who struggle to read. Little exists for new readers improving #literacy skills. Gemma gives them a place to start. Literacy is a human right. Gemma Open Door for Literacy provides smart stories at low reading levels to help adults and young people learn to love reading. We publish books for people who cannot read, because literacy is a human right. Gemma's mission is to open the doors of literacy for adults and young adults so they may transform their lives, their families, and their communities. Gemma helps adults and young adults on the path to literacy. We publish original high-interest/low-reading level books (as well as eBooks and audios) with grown-up themes by bestselling authors and important new voices. Aspiring adult readers usually find only children’s books to study. That increases the shame that attends low literacy. For more than15 years, Gemma has helped to improve not just fluency and competence but self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment.
