We believe that athletes can serve as catalysts for individual and community change. Athleaders 360° is a holistic leadership development organization for young athletes that empowers them to take an active role in changing cultural norms that perpetuate unhealthy manhood. We believe that talented athletes who are carefully selected and trained to lead on and off the field, can serve as catalysts for individual and community change. We work with young athletes to explore how the relationship between sports and society-- including race, class, gender, media, and politics-- influences their own sense of self. We use sports as a framework to explore topics like violence, sexual assault and the intersecting issues of race, class, and sexuality.
