We decided to start the Ellie Ruby Foundation in honor of our daughter to raise awareness for pediatric cancer, secure funding for rare pediatric brain tumors, and help support families going through similar circumstances. This September, for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re reminded of why the Ellie Ruby Foundation exists: to bring smiles, strength, and support to children battling pediatric cancer. We closed out summer with our annual Splash for Ellie this Labor Day weekend — an incredible day filled with water slides, foam pits, basketball tournaments, games, prizes, fresh oven pizza, Dippin’ Dots, cotton candy, popcorn, and so much more. Friends and families came together from near and far, not just to soak up the last splash of summer, but to stand with children fighting cancer.
