Our heart-centered approach, that prioritizes meeting survivors where they’re at, is the foundation of our organization. Cultivating a community of healing & connection for individuals who have experienced abuse and/or exploitation. At AJR, lived experience drives education, advocacy, and direct services. We partner with those we serve, parents, and communities so that the risk of abuse and exploitation is significantly reduced.

Press Release What We Do Services and Resources Our Mission At AJR AJR was founded in 2020 by Arizona resident AJ Arias when she began learning about human trafficking. She assembled our original founding board and connected with cofounder and our Executive Director Savannah Sanders who has worked in the field of trafficking prevention for over a decade. Together the team created a heartcentered vision and mission that prioritizes meeting survivors where theyre at.

Applejacks Ranch
This Labor Day, we honor the dignity of work and the right of every worker to be free from exploitation. In rural communities, labor trafficking often hides in plain sight, such as in agriculture, construction, domestic work, and service industries. Workers may face long hours, unsafe conditions, withheld wages, threats, or isolation, with little access to help.
