NATIONAL COALITION AGAINST PRESCRIPTION DRUG ABUSE INC
The organizations mission is to prevent prescription drug related substance use disorder and fatal overdoses through community education policy change and harm reduction efforts such as Naloxone rescue kit and fentanyl test strip distribution. Educational activities supporting that mission included conducting 180 presentations for 5022 youth and 2,417 adults and providing drug prevention materials and educational messaging to youth and adults at 29 community events. Harm reduction activities included conducting overdose formal rescue training to 4,776 youth and 1,715 adults conducting on-site training at 29 community events and distributing 2,350 Naloxone overdose rescue kits through Californias Naloxone Distribution Project. Sponsorships were also provided for recovery program support for two individuals in North Carolina suffering from substance use disorder through our Recovery Support Scholarship Program.
