Day in and day out, Suffolk AME members provide the essential services that our County depends on. THE TRUST IS CREATED, ESTABLISHED, AND MAINTAINED. THE TRUSTEES AGREE TO RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE COUNTY OF SUFFOLK, AND TO HOLD ALL MONEY OR PROPERTY RECIEVED AND ADMINISTER IT BY WAY OF SELF-ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING SUPPLEMENTAL BENEFITS TO PARTICIPANTS AND MEMBERS, AND DEFRAYING THE REASONABLE EXPENSES OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE PLAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS SET FORTH IN THE AGREEMENT HEREIN AND IN THE PLAN TO DEVISE AND IMPLEMENT SUCH OTHER PROCEDURES AND PROGRAMS AS MAY BE NECESSARY OR FAVORABLE FROM TIME TO TIME TO FULFILL THE FORGOING OBJECTIVES.

Suffolk AME is delighted to congratulate Dianne DaSilva on her upcoming retirement after 15 years of dedicated service to Suffolk County. Yesterday, we proudly honored her outstanding career with a Proclamation at her retirement celebration. Dianne has been a vital part of the CSEB Court Unit, serving as a Senior Office Assistant, and has also contributed significantly within the Administration.

Suffolk AME would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated members of our Suffolk County Parks Department. Recently, Legislator Dominick Thorne shared a photo from his visit to the Historic Avery Property in East Patchogue—a treasured site purchased by Suffolk County in 2023 to be preserved as Avery Homestead County Park. Avery Homestead County Park features a 1893 Queen Anne-style house, a 1930 Dutch colonial-style barn, and a 1925 nursery office, all part of the former 200-acre Swan River Nursery founded by the Avery family.
