Uniting the Rights of Nature & Community We don't 'just' have a (name your pet environmental, social or economic justice problem) we have a democracy problem We the People declare: That the political, economic and legal systems of the United States have allowed an elite few to impose policy and governing decisions that threaten the very survival of both natural and human communities; The VACRN is a Virginia-based grassroots organization. We join a national and global movement for Community Rights and the Rights of Nature to advance democratic, environmental, economic, and social rights through rights-based education and organizing. The Rights of Nature [RoN] Movement recognizes our interdependence with nature for our well being and survival. VACRN works for true protections, not “stronger” regulations that legalize harm. VACRN is dedicated to challenging the injustice of illegitimate corporate rights that impede local and direct democracy.
