THE GOLDEN GATE STEM FAIR IS AN ANNUAL EVENT INTENDED TO CELEBRATE THE EXCELLENT RESEARCH COMPLETED BY STUDENTS IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA COMMUNITY. THE FAIR ITSELF IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. WE ARE WORKING TO MAKE GGSF NOT JUST A COMPETITION, BUT A COMMUNITY EVENT THAT CELEBRATES THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF ALL OF THE ASPIRING SCIENTISTS WHO SUBMIT THEIR WORK. Golden Gate STEM Fair - A Progressive Science Competition for Grades 6-12 - Golden Gate STEM Fair (Formerly SFBASF) - Home Golden Gate STEM Fair Event CANCELED for 2025 Learn More Formerly the SF Bay Area Science Fair A Progressive Science Competition for Grades 6 12 GGSF temporarily canceled for 2025 Due to decreased human and financial support the Golden Gate STEM Fair is on pause for this season. We fully plan to return in 2026 with more opportunities for student recognition and support. Most students in our service area will still be able to participate in other SF Bay Area fairs during our downtime. Science Fair Competition Opportunities The following counties make up the normal Golden Gate STEM Fair service areaSan Francisco Marin Sonoma Napa Solano and San Mateo.
