This is my friend Grace. Grace has had a tough hand dealt to her with a terminal cancer diagnosis with less than a year left. On top of that she had the really unfortunate luck of having a significant amount of money taken from her, money that was going to keep her afloat while she got her affairs in order and sadly, money that was going to pay for her own funeral so she was not a burden to her family. There was talk of a Gofundme page but I spoke up and told her I would be happy to help her by taking donations through our nonprofit and not taking a percentage as most of the large donation platforms do.
