Dan Lewis Foundation for Brain Regeneration Research

Our mission is to create new pharmacologic treatments that promote neural cell regeneration, renewed synaptic plasticity, and axonal regrowth to improve the lives of persons with moderate and severe traumatic brain injuries. To achieve this mission, we A) convene meetings of leading bioscientists to foster collaboration and formulation of programmatic research plans, B) support a step-by-step research agenda to develop new classes of medicines which target key pathways that regulate CNS plasticity, C) raise funds to support this research agenda and distribute these funds based on rigorous peer review of applications D) work closely with academic leaders and drug companies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of genomically targeted biomolecular medicines to promote CNS regeneration.
