In remembrance of Barbara W. Carlson (Jan 14, 1929 - Jan 11, 2025), staff reporter from the Hartford Courant, we are pleased to share one of her earliest assignments for that newspaper. Here, Barbara chronicles one stop on the 1958 New England tour of the Mouseketeers (Annette, Doreen Tracey, Tommy Cole and Jimmie Dodd)... so they could visit a local neighborhood home to watch the premiere of the "Annette" serial on the Mickey Mouse Club (Feb. 10, 1958).
